Custom Embroidery
Embroidery is another common method Kustom Imprints utilizes to custom decorate apparel and other items. Embroidery designs are first programmed by an individual with use of a computer or “Digitized” and then stitched from an automated embroidery machine. We can embroider a company logo or design directly to goods such as polo shirts, sweatshirts, denim & twill shirts, Jackets, baseball caps, duffel bags and many other items.
Embroidery Production
Kustom Imprints has in production three separate embroidery machines. They are large industrial sewing machines that run off of a single computer. Two of the machines can embroidery 6 garments at a time. We can embroider a design with up 15 separate thread colors for a single design. Our embroidery machines are new and well maintained which means excellent embroidery work for your specific job.
Embroidery Set-Up / Digitizing
All embroidery designs first must be set-up or digitized at the hands of a skilled individual with embroidery software. Each thread needs to be specifically plotted in an exact manner, so the completed work on the garment accurately resembles the correct design. Often the embroidery work is a simple text or a few letters and our embroidery software has several fonts to choose that scaled correctly to your embroidery design.
Personalized Embroidery Work
We most frequently sew the same, single embroidery design on a whole order for our clients. We also can individualize or personalize each item by sewing an individual name and or title / position. Individually embroidered names are frequently used in work uniforms as well as for high school or college clubs or organizations in order to designate a specific office holder’s title.
Appliqué Embroidery
Our embroidery machines can also sew appliqué designs to garments too. Appliqué (also known as tackle twill) is individual cut pieces of twill fabric which are then sewn onto a garment around the edge. This process commonly used with Greek letters sewn on fraternity or sorority sweatshirts. It’s also commonly used for sport team designs too.
Drawbacks
Embroidery does have it limitations. Because the sewing process is simply thread zigzagging on material, very fine and minute details are difficult if not impossible to achieve. Typically, we cannot embroider lettering smaller than 1/4 in tall. Additionally, gradient or color fade fills also become difficult when working with small embroidery spaces. When ordering your specific embroidery job, you are going to achieve the best results by clearly writing out your specific requirements. Sketch out or attach the exact design work that you require. Be clear about the design size, location or placement and specific thread colors. It’s always our goal to do the best possible to job to match our embroidery work with your individualized embroidery needs.
